Florida! (Busch Gardens)

On Monday we headed to the much anticipated Busch Gardens! I think the kids were most excited for this park because they know it was a huge part of my childhood. We took Aiden and Brennan years ago when they were really little but we were so excited to go now that the kids are a little older and can ride more rides. Being back at Busch Gardens was SO nostalgic for me...the sounds and smells and even seeing the little trams in the parking lot :)
Our most anticipated ride was Cheetah Hunt. It's a newer ride and Nate and I had only gone on it once and we loved it so we were so excited to take the three oldest kids on it finally. It was just as fast and fun as we remembered.
There are so many big roller coasters at Busch Gardens and the kids were in heaven. We rode Kumba, Cheetah Hunt, Scorpian, Cobra's Curse, Sheikra, and Tigris. Graham was tall enough to ride Cobra's Curse and he loved it and it was fun to get to go on a "big" ride with him.  Sheikra and Tigris were both pretty crazy but the boys were once again super brave and went on some of the roller coasters over and over and didn't get sick of it.  The one ride we missed going on was Montu. It was only open part of the day and we missed the window to go on it.
The African theme is fun and the animal exhibits were fun to walk through too. The whole atmosphere there is so fun and unique.
The least favorite ride was Scorpian. It's been at Busch Gardens for years and it was old when I was little so it's super old now. I stayed back happily to take a picture of everyone. Graham was even able to go on it. If you look close you can see them all up front.
We had fun in the bird aviary and Nate even got to throw a dead mouse to a bird!
We went on a few rides at Sesame Street land again for Graham Bam. We have a picture of Aiden and Brennan in this little car when they were little so we recreated the picutre :)
The longest line of the day was for Callie and Graham to go on this tiny little boat ride. Luckily they only wanted to do it once....it was underwhelming.
Lunchtime at the parks was always a highlight because we got to be shaded from the Florida sun and heat. The kids were excited to have funnel cakes for lunch...definitely a well-balanced meal :)
In true Florida fashion, the rain clouds rolled in fast in the afternoon and it started pouring rain.  We were not prepared for heavy rain and so we all got pretty wet and did our best to stay as dry as possible. It rained the rest of our day at Busch Gardens and we just owned it and enjoyed being wet the rest of the day.
Pictures don't do justice to how wet we were! We didn't let the rain stop us. Some of the rides were shut down briefly because of lightning in the area but luckily that didn't last long.
And that wraps up Busch Gardens!
