After an incredible weekend in New York, I came back to these cute guys:
Nate and the kids were dog sitting the Weights dog Daisy while I was in NYC and Graham was obsessed with her! Daisy would sleep in his bed and cuddle up with him all the time. It made me realize that at some point he may be begging for a dog! We ended up watching her for over a week and we enjoyed having a little dog around (for a short time)!
While I was out of town, Nate kept busy being Dad and Mr. Mom. Aiden had a choir concert, Callie had dance, Brennan had basketball, and I even came home to a perfectly clean and organized home. I married a keeper! :) Also - Brennan got to ride in a Lamborghini and it made his whole week! Coolest Activity Days activity ever.
We got the kids school pictures back and they turned out so good!! Love these cute kids of mine!
Sometimes getting a "normal" picture of them is quite hard though :)
Aiden got braces! Goodbye Fangs!
Nate and Brennan and Callie and my dad went to a Jazz game one night. Nate's lucky to get free tickets from work every now and then. When he was there during the last game a random man came up to them and said he had two free tickets on the 11th row and so Brennan and Nate got to see the game up close and personal and they loved it!
Diane made me this beautiful table runner to use at Christmastime. She is so talented and generous with her creations.
Graham has so many little buddies in the neighborhood! They are such great kids and they have a lot of fun together! He's so lucky to have so many friends so close.
Thanksgiving was wonderful this year! Nathan and Danae and kids came into town and we had a lot of fun with them! We did our usual bowling on Thanksgiving at Jack and Jill's and then the following day we went to Tucanos and Provo Beach Resort. We also had a great Thanksgiving dinner with Nate's family on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Almost all of the Tadjes were in town for that so it was A LOT of people! I love that our kids are such great friends with their cousins!
The craziest thing in November was having our car stolen!! To make a long story short, I was spending the night at my grandma's house (as we had rotated doing all year long) and I accidentally left the key in Nate's Accord. Well, when I woke up in the morning to head home, I walked outside and the car was gone! There was a bike in the place that the car had once been. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was stolen! So I called the police, called my mom to come rescue me, and called Nate a little emotional that I had been so dumb! It was the weirdest feeling to get dropped off at home because we were down a car. For a few days we didn't hear anything about it and I was sure it was long gone - either sold for parts or crashed by some druggie.
Well, a few days later, my phone rings at 3am and the car had been found!! There was an abandoned car by a Laundromat up in South Salt Lake and when the policeman checked the plates he realized it was stolen! Nate and I rushed up to SLC to get it towed (because we no longer had the key for it) and the car was still in great shape! Nothing had been stolen, no damage to the inside or outside or the car, and the guy even left his pocketknife. And it smelled heavily of marijuana. But we had our car back!! What a happy day! It is nearly 10 years old but it's a great car and we were so happy to have it back.
