December was a BUSY month but so so good!
Graham finished a great season of basketball and loved every second of it! He's obsessed with basketball and had so much fun playing on the same team as his friend James.
Aiden performed in his Christmas choir concert and did a great job.
Random picture with my cute lunch date one afternoon:
Our ward put on a fun Christmas breakfast with Santa.
With Brennan going into Deacons soon and Aiden growing like a weed it was time for new suits! Jaxson hooked us up at Mr Mac and the boys look so handsome in their new church clothes!
My parents give us service money every Christmas and this year we did a few different things with it but one of our favorites was donating to a Light the World vending machine. We bought 100 polio vaccines and bought meals for those in need. I love that our church has this initiative!
We set up a little "reward" system at home that when the kids do something kind or they're helpful around the house, they earn a rock. 100 rocks = a date with mom and dad. Callie was the first to earn her rocks and we had a fun night taking her to Color Me Mine and dessert. I love having one on one time with the kids!
Handsome kiddos ready for church. Aiden is wearing his new suit (Brennan's was still being altered)
It's been a pretty dry winter here so this was the best snowman picture we could get!
Nate took the kids skiing and they found snow way up in the mountains!
Another thing we did with our service money was do 12 days of Christmas for a family in our ward. We've done this before and my kids LOVE leaving presents on the door, knocking, and running. This was the best picture I could get of them nonchalantly delivering the gifts.
Evidence of our warm winter: shoveling snow in shorts and a tshirt :)
I got to help with Graham and Callie's class Christmas parties. I volunteer in his class every Monday and I love getting to work with these cute kids! This is such a fun age! And Callie's age is a fun one to help with parties too. I love being in the elementary school with my kiddos.
We did our annual "Pizza with Santa" lunch and had a great time like usual.
I think these boys like BYU :)
Nate and I were able to go to my mom's MOTAB concert again this year. Perks of having your mom in the choir! We love this tradition and walking around City Creek in December.
We walked by the Salt Lake temple to see the construction and it's pretty fascinating to see what they are doing to it!
The best picture I could get on Christmas Sunday:
Tis the season of lots of Christmas parties! We had a big party with the Tadjes, one with the extended Curtis family, Chinese food at Brent and Julies
In between the holiday parties, we did our two on one date with Aiden and went to the movies and Handels. Love going on dates with our kids!
We decorated gingerbread houses one evening. When I asked my kids one of their favorite traditions at Christmastime all of them said this.
Christmas Eve we invited Grandma T over for ham and yummies, warm and fuzzies, and the nativity. I love having our own special dinner at home each Christmas Eve.
Love these kiddos!! Sometimes I want to freeze time and hold onto this age forever! Christmas this year was the best (minus Nate having a nasty cold!) The kids ages, their excitement, and lots of family time together was the best!
Becca's gift from Nathan and Danae-
We watched Nathan and Danae's kids one night and went over to the church to play around and ended up playing chair soccer with some neighbors. It was so fun and Brennan's been asking to play again ever since!
Nate and I celebrated 15 years of marriage on the 29th! It's been an incredible 15 years and I feel so lucky!! He surprised me with a 24 hour get-away and it was just what we needed after a hectic month! We started with a session at the temple and then headed to the Grand America for the night. And then he surprised me with a couples massage at the Grand Spa! We did some shopping, eating out, and relaxing and it was the perfect anniversary!
The Grand Spa is so fancy and we felt like royalty! :)
Callie had a sleepover with Ella one night. Those two are two peas in a pod!
We celebrated Becca's bday at her favorite place - Costa Vida.
And then New Years was spent partying with the Brewers! We played games, ate food, and did a photo scavenger hunt.
It was the perfect ending to an incredible year!!
