I'm 6 months behind in posting in this family journal so I'll be playing catch up for the next few weeks!
We kicked off January with the New Years' Jazz/Warriors game and had a blast! Graham loves Steph Curry and Warriors so he was especially excited! We're definitely a house divided when it comes to the NBA! It was funny to see our whole fam in Jazz gear except Graham in his Steph Curry shirt ;)
January 10 is the anniversary of Nate's dad's death. We got together at Erik and Amie's for some of his favorite treats (Nilla wafers, raspberry filled donuts, DP) and then visited his grave. It's hard to believe it's been 2 years since his passing.
Callie performed in her recital and did a beautiful job! I love her dance studio and their performances are always so classy and tasteful!
Brennan received the Priesthood and was ordained a Deacon. Aiden was ordained a Teacher. These boys are growing up so fast! I love that they can be in Young Mens together!
Basketball is pretty much our life in the winter! All four kids played this year and Brennan played on two teams (Bantam and Jr Jazz) so a lot of our free time was spent at games. Callie played her first season of basketball and really enjoyed it too! I love watching my kids play and they're all great team players!
Brennan played against his second cousin one game which was fun (Casey Cosper's oldest son).
Callie played her first year of basketball and did great and really enjoyed it!
My friend Nikki was having a baby shower and it was so great to catch up with old high school friends! I go way too long between seeing high school friends so it's always fun to visit. We had tea at the Grand America and it was so fun and fancy!
We continued our date nights with the kids when they are earned 100 rocks for our reward system. Graham chose Fat Cats and loved every second of it! Love that cute little dude!
I also took up making sourdough! This was my first loaf! It was fun to learn a new skill during those cold winter days. I've since perfected it a little more but we love having sourdough occasionally and I feel so domestic ;)
The biggest thing we did in January was start finishing our basement! We hired a contractor to do the work because Nate was too busy with work and things and so all month long (and into the next few months) we had workers in and out of our house working on the basement! Here are some pictures of the basement in the early stages:
