August 2022

I went with Diane and Becca and Alyssa to see Singing in the Rain at the Hale and it was SO good! I was not very familiar with the play but it was so fun!
Aiden and Mason hung out in SLC one day and then went to a Bees game where they got to meet some of their favorite Dodgers players. These two are two peas in a pod and I'm so grateful Aiden has such a great friend!
Aiden bought himself some Air Jordans. They are all the rage for teens right now.
Brennan got his wisdom teeth out. Brennan's molars couldn't come in because his wisdom teeth were in the way. He was hilarious coming off of anesthesia! I have some great videos of him. He spent the next few days eating all the soft foods, watching tv, and getting the hugest cheeks! It was pretty funny to see his chipmunk cheeks.
More trips during the month to splash summit with friends and cousins. We love having season passes!
Some of my friends in the neighborhood got last minute tickets to Backstreet Boys and I was so excited to tag along! My 12-year-old self would have been jealous! We had a blast singing along and dancing to their music! It was like a blast from the past!
We headed up to Jared & Trina's cabin for a week. They are always so generous to let us come up! The first part of the week was just our family and we hiked and played games and swam. Then Jared and his younger kids came up and we did lots of boating and hanging out with them! The kids all improved so much surfing and we had such a fun week up there! We have so many memories up here and look forward to it every year!
When we got back it was time to get ready for back to school! Back to school hair cuts were first on the list:
We went to Back to School night at the Junior High. How do we now have 2 kids in middle school?!
Brennan started 7th grade a day before everyone else went back to school. He was nervous and excited I think! Having 8 different classes and teachers was a little overwhelming but he did awesome on his first day!
Then Callie and Graham had their elementary school open house. Only 2 left in elementary school now!
Then the day finally came! All four kiddos started full-time school! Definitely a bittersweet day! I was really sad to send Graham off. He's been my little buddy for so long and suddenly he's a big kid! Aiden - 9th grade, Brennan - 7th grade, Callie - 4th grade (Mr Easter), Graham - 1st grade (Ms. Kelley)
Of course we had a first day of school photoshoot...some kids were more excited than others ;)
First full day of 7th grade for B-
Fall sports began! Flag football for all three boys and cross country for Aiden and Brennan.
Also, Aiden started his first job as a ref! I snuck a few pictures of him in action.
Graham is not a spender and he finally saved all of his money and has $100 now. He traded Nate his smaller bills for a $100 bill and he was so excited!
Sunday piano playing is my favorite! Callie doesn't always love practicing but occasionally she does. I'm so grateful my mom teaches my kids piano! She's the best piano teacher ever and really cares about them loving music!
We went up to the ward campout but didn't spend the night because we had games early the next morning. We had a good time visiting with neighbors and ward friends and hanging out at Aspen Lakes.
