September 2022

Our cute referee:
We went camping over Labor Day weekend up to Tanner Flats. It's a fun tradition to always go with my family. Brennan had just saved up money to buy an electric scooter and was SO excited to get to try it out up there!
The first BYU game happened while we were up there so this is how these BYU fans watched it in the mountains ;)
We hiked to Cecret Lake with everyone but my dad. My dad had just finished his radiation treatments for his prostate cancer so he still wasn't feeling his best. But everyone else went and we had a fun time. It's a beautiful and short hike.
Nate and Callie and I hiked to Sunset Peak early one morning. It's not the easiest hike and Callie did awesome! It's such a beautiful view at the top!
I tried to hike as much as possible at the end of the summer to get ready for Timp! I hiked it with Sarah Quinn, Sam Scott, and Sheridan. It was Sheridan's first time doing it! She definitely felt like it was LONG! Which it is! We went on a beautiful September morning and started early in the morning. I love when the sun starts to slowly peak out and you see can all of the beauty surrounding us.

I love finally getting to the meadow and being able to see the top of Timp. It still looks so far away! But having the peak in view is helpful those last few miles.
We made it!
It was so warm and not very windy at the top which was nice! We picked an amazing day to go!
Right after we finished up, Aiden and Brennan had a XC meet at Viewpoint so we hurried there. We had to run around to see them on their course and my legs were SO tired!! But by the end of the day, I had a lot of steps!
We rode side by sides with the Woodruffs one evening and went to explore Little Moab. It was SO dusty! But it was so fun to ride with friends!
No importance other than Callie loves being my little kitchen helper and I love it!
Caught this cute moment of both Jr High boys working on their homework.
September meant harvest season! With the kids all in school, I spent a lot of time canning peaches and tomatoes, making strawberry jam, making sourdough, and harvesting my garden. I felt so domestic! Also, all of that food prep was messy!
I also attempted caramel apples one day with Sheridan. They didn't turn out that great despite spending hours working on them!
Boys kept competing in XC and doing wonderful! It was so fun to see how they improved over the season.
Flag football was still in full swing. Love watching my boys play!
I updated our photo wall and love how it turned out:
Kids took school pictures. They all turned out so great!
River Rock held an outdoor movie night. I took the little kids. Nate and the older boys went down to Goblin Valley for the YM campout so they were having fun on their own.
Nate took one picture on their campout and this was it...
They got their late and left early because of football games.

Our friends the Farnsworths let us use their BYU football tickets so we got to take the whole family. We had great seats and food vouchers that they let us use. They were so generous! We had a blast! BYU played Wyoming and won! The kids each got to try on a real football helmet and were surprised with how heavy it was.
The cougar tails are always a hit.
Another fall hike to Bells Canyon Waterfall with my neighborhood hiking group. It was a gorgeous day and so fun to see the leaves starting to change!
Random picture I took of Aiden after his haircut. ;)
Getting SO close to Nate!
Prepping my porch for October:
More cross country...
Then that one time Aiden was the official for Brennan's game. Having one brother be the ref of the other brother playing may not be the best idea...
Luckily it ended ok!
We went out to ice cream with the Brewers one night.
