Summertime is the best! June was the perfect start to our summer! Here are some random pictures from the month:
Swimming at Cathy's new pool:
Celebrated our favorite girl (there's a whole post about it)
The boys did the Lehi basketball camp and Brennan won best shooter award.Brennan worked hard detailing cars and saving money and bought himself a four-wheeler! Nate told Brennan if he could save up money, he'd pay half of a four-wheeler and Brennan did it. They found this Scrambler on KSL and it fit the bill for everything Brennan wanted. He was one happy kid!
Brennan in action on his car detailing business.
He loves giving people rides around the neighborhood on it.
Aiden turned 14 and we partied hard (another post shares the details of his bday too)
French toast breakfast for the birthday girl!
Aiden and Brennan each wen to their Young Men's campout. Aiden went down to Escalante and did some really cool hikes. He had so much fun with his friends there! It was super hot so his favorite was the hike to a big waterfall. Brennan went boating for a couple of days and had a blast! His leader Jeremy Smith has a brand new boat and he let the Deacons break it in! The water was freezing but he still tubed and surfed behind the boat and loved it! I'm so grateful for wonderful leaders that help give these kids great experiences!
We had fun heading out west and trying out the new four-wheeler! It's so fun to have our side by side and the four-wheeler so we can caravan and explore the mountains together.
Nate and I hiked to Lake Blanche - one of my favorite hikes!
Family party at my aunt Julie's house:
Brennan's weekend basketball tournament in Cedar City:
Some of the kids on this team are HUGE! Brennan was by far the smallest out there. It was fun to watch him play bball!
We had fun eating out and hanging out just the three of us! It was Aiden's birthday so we made sure to make it fun.For Nate's birthday, we decided to head up to his favorite spot (AF canyon) and camp for the night! It was just our little family and it was so fun! We rode the toys around a lot and played by the stream and hiked a little bit. On Saturday, we drove the mule over the top of the mountains and into Heber for burgers and shakes. The mountains were so beautiful and it was the perfect way to celebrate our favorite guy!!
Family time in the Mule and in the mountains is the best!Nate's drone captured some beautiful footage of the mountains. Utah is so pretty!
No matter how old Nate gets, he still loves kid food ;) Strawberry ice cream with gummy bears for the win!
The best was when Nate and I wanted to go on a four-wheeler ride together so all four kids managed the mule by themselves! It was cute to look back and see Brennan driving them around.Dirty and happy!
Father's day Pic:
Nate's birthday always falls close to Father's Day and it's fun to celebrate him in the month of June. He is the best dad and husband and is so supportive and caring and the best provider and protector of our family! We are so lucky to have him!
My cute little kitchen helper :)
We did a little piano recital with the Curtis side at our house. My mom teaches all of her grandkids piano and it's such a gift for them to learn from her!Summer sunsets <3
Now that we live in Lehi, we make sure to go to the Lehi Rodeo each summer! It's always so much fun! My mom showed up wearing her TRUMP hat which we thought was fitting for a country rodeo ;)
Such a fun night with family!
The Motocross show at the end if always everyone's favorite!
Nate and I went on a date to see the new Top Gun Maverick movie and it was so good we decided to take the kids to it! We all loved it and its now Aiden's favorite movie! Tom Cruise still is the man! ;)
We went with the Brewers to the Air Show up at Hill Air Force Base. It had been a few years since they did one so it was SO busy up there! But we had a ton of fun. It was loud and hot but seeing the Thunderbirds was definitely worth it!
Tough guys! Our neighbor Cooper came with us which was fun.
Somehow Aiden always has his eyes closed for pictures :)
The last week of June Aiden went to FSY! He roomed with his friend Kason Gardner and he had the best week! They went to BYU and got to stay in the new Heritage Halls. They went to some great devotionals and classes and did some fun activities and dances as well. Aiden was on a spiritual high and would call each night to let us know how amazing it was! I'm so grateful he had this opportunity! The youth turning 14 and older get to attend every other year so in two years, Brennan and Aiden will get to go!
We welcomed Cam back from his mission at the airport! I don't have a picture with everyone there but I did snap this one:
