I chaperoned Callie on her choir field trip to the Festival of Trees:
We did a neighborhood Christmas progressive dinner. I hosted the dinner portion. Luckily Sheridan had some Christmas table decor and I purchased a few things too so it looked nice and Christmas-y. At the end of the dinner we all ended up at the Meeks for dessert and games. We played the Newlywed Game and it was hilarious!! Funniest night ever. So grateful for great neighbor friends!
We watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. People always tell Nate he looks like Ryan Murphy. Nate doesn't like that comparison ;) He posed next to him to see the similarities but he doesn't think they look alike!
December is always busy buying gifts for everyone and sending out Christmas cards. But I love getting Christmas cards so I still do it even though it's a lot of work! I loved how ours turned out this year:
Graham loved Jr Jazz this year and did awesome! He's a good little baller!
Another tooth bites the dust! Now Graham REALLY wants his two front teeth for Christmas!
Aiden performed in his last choir concert at Willowcreek. His teacher is super strange, along with a bunch of kids in Chamber Choir with him, so he transferred out after the concert. Hopefully he can do choir again in high school.
I was spoiled for my birthday this year! My friend Sheridan planned a big lunch for my birthday with friends and I felt so loved! That night I went to my neighborhood Bunco where I was spoiled again and everyone sang to me. The weekend of my birthday, Nate planned a fun trip for us to Vegas! It was so fun to get away for a weekend and enjoy some uninterrupted time together! We stayed at the Venetian which was an amazing spot! We did lots of shopping and eating out and sight-seeting and we went to see the Jabowokeez perform. It was a fun show and fun to see them live after following them for many years. My parents were awesome to watch the kiddos back home!
The Bellagio Gardens were incredible! The creativity with flowers was amazing.
I helped with Callie and Graham's class Christmas parties. Graham had a special visitor which he was especially excited for!
The kids performed in their Christmas Sing:
Minute to Win It games with Callie's class:
Brennan played and worked in the snow every chance he could! He built a sledding hill and then turned it into a snow fort.
Tadje family Christmas dinner. We are a huge group now! Luckily we did our Christmas party in a church. It's always a fun evening with the Tadjes!
Santa Claus Lunch at Brick Oven...another favorite.
Right after this picture Aiden and Brennan started fighting and hitting each other. I'll always remember my 12 and 14-year-old fighting in front of Santa! You better believe they had a good lecture in the car afterwards.
Love this toothless grin! He's growing up way too fast!!
We went to a big Christmas Sing at at Vivint Arena and it was really fun! Mat and Savanna Shaw performed and we sang our favorite Christmas tunes with everyone else in the arena.
Another brace face in the fam! Brennan got braces a few days before Christmas.
More fun in the snow:
We went sledding up at Tibble Fork with some neighborhood friends. It was a fun morning up in the mountains!
Sugar cookie decorating party at our house...
Extended Curtis family party. We played the bells and a gift passing game my Grandma Curtis wrote. We see my dad's side of the family so rarely so it's nice to get together at least once a year.
The day after Christmas we celebrated Becca turning 29! We went to Costa Vida and then did some shopping.
The same night we celebrated Diane turning 72! We went to Erik & Amie's house for dinner and dessert and games. It was just the couples and we had a fun night!
My parents took us to see Little Mermain at the Hale. It was one of their gifts to our kids for Christmas. It was amazing!! Such an incredible production! We had a great time...even the older boys!
My parents always give us "service" money at Christmas time to do an act of service. This year we used some of the money to help our Afghan refugee friends. We used the rest of the money to make 50 sack lunches for the Food and Care Coalition. Brennan's friend Crew was over and helped us. We had a great assembly line making sandwiches and assembling the lunches. It was a great way to get the kids involved.
We had another party for Becca on her actual birthday! We had pizza and dessert and hung out with Becca and Steve's family.
New Year Eve we had a blast at the Brewer's house! They just got a pool table and a hot tub so we had so much fun! Aiden and Paige went to a stake dance so they were gone most of the time. It's a fun New Years tradition to hang out together!
A few things not pictured: A fun cookie exchange at my friend Kami's house, lots of basketball games, AF Bunco gift exchange, stake musical fireside, dinner with high school friends, and lots of time with family and friends!
