We started October off right with General Conference. We headed to Provo Canyon between sessions on Sunday and it was so great to explore up there and see the beautiful colors! And it's always a great way to get our wiggles out from watching General Conference all weekend :)
These two are the best buddies! They play nearly every day and Charlie has made Graham a big baseball fan now!
Aiden was still very involved with his cross country season too. He had a great season and put in a lot of work! It was fun to see it pay off.
We sold Brennan and Nate's beloved four-wheeler. It kept having issues and they weren't using it as much as they'd like, but it was still sad to see it go!
I've been lucky to fit in the temple twice a month for a year. I especially love living just 10 minutes from the Saratoga Springs temple. I snapped this picture as I left one night. It's the prettiest temple in my opinion!
We love visiting Aiden at work. He loves when I snap his picture in front of his coworkers and other customers ;)
More sports...
Nate and I went to the Meek's Halloween party. We were Zach Wilson and Zach Wilson's Mom's Best Friend this year ;)
Nate went to Washington DC for work and had some time to explore the National Mall and some famous locations.
The trees were so vibrant and pretty at the beginning of October so we joined the rest of Utah and drove the Alpine Loop one Sunday :)
AF Canyon is the prettiest!
I sub occasionally at River Rock and Callie loves to come in during lunch or recess with her friends and pretend she's the teacher. And get to sit in the teacher's chair with her feet up haha.
My presidency and I were released from being in the Relief Society. Serving as Relief Society President was hard for a lot of different reasons but it also was the best because I got to know these amazing women so well and I was able to get to the know the women in our ward so well too. It allowed me multiple friendships and relationships I wouldn't have had without it. Our ward split in September and it was so sad to have our neighborhood to be divided in two wards. After a ward splits, things are never the same. But I hope to keep these relationships and friendships going strong despite being in separate wards!
These women helped me so much as Relief Society president! Between activities, visits, meetings, lessons, funeral planning, and all of our responsibilities, we grew really close. This is us at dinner a few weeks after we were released:
Aiden keeps growing like a weed so we got him a new suit. With him in high school now, it seems like time is flying! Cameron and Jaxson work at Mr Mac so it's always fun to have them help us shop for suits.
Graham's pain mainly went away and he was feeling good! We still didn't allow him to play sports as his spleen was still enlarged, so we did lots of games and he did lots of video games as he recovered.
More football games...
Brennan's team lost in the tournament so this was his last official game before the Mesquite tournament.
The littles dressed up for the ward Halloween party. BYU football player - he's taking the reigns from Brennan ;) and Barbie!
Nate and Graham were invited to go to a BYU game with the Priests and they had a blast!
We drove up to Silver Lake one Sunday to enjoy some of the last of the fall leaves.
(Gotta love that Brennan's holding a football the entire time. He's obsessed and any time we're outside these boys are throwing the football around)
Sheridan and I hiked to Grove Creek one fall morning. Octobers in Utah are the best and I found any excuse to be outside all month long!
Over fall break, we met up with Samantha and her kids and hiked the Y. And then finished off with some BYU Creamery of course.
Our friend and old Bishop, Shane Peterson, loves the Utes with all of his heart. So we thought it was funny to see this sign at the BYU Creamery ;)
Callie had a Halloween party with some friends. They painted pumpkins, had dessert, watched a scary movie, and mainly ran around hyper all night! Whoever said girls are more chill doesn't know these girls!
We took Brennan on a golf date and had a fun time.
Girl time with Callie <3
Our trees changing color were giving me life! Fall is the best!
We went to Gardner Village with Sheridan one fall morning. It had been a while since I've been so it was fun to go with Callie and Graham and Callie's friend Sage.
Nate and Callie unintentionally matched one day.
Aiden became immersed in high school life - games and activities and all the things! His and Rylan unintentionally matched one day too ;)
Callie had three cheer competitions and did amazing! She's loved cheer and it has been such a positive thing for her this year!
Brennan AND Graham's teams both won the Superbowl!! Flag football is the best and it was a great, intense season like always.
My cute Grandma turned 89! We had a little celebration for her at Spring Gardens, her assisted living center. Grandma Blackham's memory and mind have been greatly affected by dementia the last few years but she's always so sweet and positive and loves spending time with family.
Halloween was a blast! I helped in Graham's class party. And we had my parents and Steve and his kids over for Halloween night. The kids had a blast trick or treating with friends and all trick or treated on their own this year! That was a new phenomenon! Costumes were BYU themed this year (again) and work-time Barbie!
