Sea World

On Thanksgiving Day, we headed to Sea World.  As much as I love "regular" Thanksgivings back home with food, bowling, and more food, it was a nice change celebrating the day there in 70 degree weather.  It was A&B's first trip to Sea World too and they loved it.  They had never seen killer whales and sea lions and some of the other unique animals there, so they were soaking it all in.
(as much as I would love to have a decent pic of the 4 of us, as soon as the camera comes out, the boys do all they can to avoid looking at it - so this is the best shot we got!)
The real live Shamu was even there to greet us as we walked through the park!
We've been to the zoo with the boys, but Sea World has a ton of animals they've never seen up close so they loved walking around the different animals exhibits.
The dolphin show was incredible.  It was a cross between cirque du soleil and some diving competition. All of the women loved it.  The guys on the other hand were not crazy about it.  Nate says it was a little too "flamboyant" for his liking.
The Shamu show was great too. It focused a lot of being "eco-friendly" and saving the environment - topics my brothers love to hear about :)
It is so fascinating seeing these animals.  I would never want to come face to face with that guy above!
All of us adults spent time rotating between watching the kids in the kiddie area and riding the roller coasters and water ride.  Their new roller coaster Manta was the scariest thing I have been on in my life!  Basically you are lying face down on the ride so it feels like you are free falling.  I was more than happy to watch the kids while everyone rode on it another time.
The kiddie area was a big hit with the 5 little guys. Aiden and Jackson got to be the "conductors" and ring the bell on the train ride, which they loved.  Aiden hasn't stopped talking about it since.
I loved this view as we were leaving the park.  The park was decked out in Christmas decor and they were playing songs like "Let it Snow" and "Jingle Bells" but it definitely didn't feel like Christmastime, let alone Thanksgiving day! But it was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. And what better way to finish off the day than eating our Thanksgiving feast at Ci Ci's pizza?! Doesn't get much better than that!
