arizona trip

Nate had a business conference down in Arizona and Nate's sister Carolyn and her family live down in Tucsan so we decided to go visit them and make a little trip out of it.  We had such a fun time staying with the Johnstons for a few days!  Aiden and Brennan were in heaven playing with their cousins.  Madelyn is Aiden's age and Isabella is just younger than Brennan so they had a blast together.  And the boys played a lot with their older cousins too - especially Alex and Matthew.  

One of the days while Nate was at his conference and the older kids were all at school, Carolyn and I took Aiden, Brennan, Madelyn, and Isabella to a couple different playgrounds and then to McDonalds for lunch.  The weather was in the 50s while we were there and it felt so warm to us after being cooped up all winter.  Aiden and Brennan borrowed two little pink tricycles to get around that day and it was cute to see all the kids with their bike (and stroller) brigade.

The next day Nate skipped out on his conference (oops!) and Carolyn took us to a fun zoo in downtown Tucson.  The kids had a good time seeing the animals there and the huge elephant exhibit was their favorite.  

I only pulled out my camera twice and it was while the other kids were at school so, sadly, I didn't snap any pictures of the other kids.  I need to be better about taking pictures!  But we also had a great time down there going to church with their family, watching Jordan's soccer game, having a picnic with everyone, going to Alex's science fair project display, staying up with Carolyn, Nate, Jessica, and Jordan playing games each night, and enjoying Carolyn's delicious meals each day. Thanks Johnstons for such a great trip to Arizona!!
