A few days after Aiden's birthday, we celebrated Father's Day and Nate turning 28! It was one big month of celebrations. For Father's Day this year, the boys gave him a candy poster. We had so much fun putting it together and Aiden & Brennan sure have enjoyed helping Nate eat all the candy!
I am so grateful for the wonderful dad and husband Nate is! The boys look up to him so much and they try to be just like him...like when Nate washes the car and Aiden and Brennan get their bikes out and start washing their bikes right along side of him. It is so fun watching the three of them together! And now seeing Nate take care of Callie is the sweetest thing ever! He loves holding her and taking care of her. I am so excited to see the father/daughter relationship develop.
I am also so grateful for my own dad and Nate's dad. My dad is such an amazing example to us. He works long hours at his job and works long hours serving as the bishop in his ward, yet he is always serving others and he even finds time to go to the temple twice each week. He is such a fun grandpa and he is always willing to play with Aiden and Brennan when we come over. The other day he rode his bike over to our house and took Aiden and Brennan on a little bike ride. They were in heaven! Nate's dad is another amazing father we look up to. He has been through a lot in his life with his health yet he doesn't complain at all. Diane and him raised such an amazing family and I'm so grateful to be a part of it. We feel so blessed to have the dads we do!
Nate's birthday was the day after Father's Day this year. Since we had had such a busy week welcoming Callie into our family and celebrating Aiden's birthday and Father's day, by the time Nate's birthday came around, we were too tired for anything too extravagant. Nate got a few of the things he has been wanting for sometime (like some Allen Edmond shoes and a new headset for work). And then we had Nate's parents over for dinner and dessert. It was a nice relaxing day and it was fun just being together as a family. June is now going to be super busy month for our family each year (since 3 of the 5 of us have June birthdays and it is Fathers day) but it will be a fun month of celebrations!
