Callie's Blessing

Last Sunday, Nate gave Callie a beautiful baby blessing in our ward. It was a perfect day celebrating our sweet new girl and spending time with so many of our family members.  Callie was able to wear my blessing dress (from 26 years ago!) and she looked beautiful! She looked like a little angel!  The beautiful pink and white afghan (pictured above) was made by my great-grandma Brown when I was a baby. Callie shares a birthday with her on June 7th (except she was born exactly 100 years before Callie) and it was neat being able to use that afghan again on Callie's special day.

Nate blessed Callie with many things in her life.  I don't remember everything he said, but here a few things he said:
- to grow and develop properly
- a desire to gain her own testimony and be baptized
- the ability to discern between right and wrong
- a desire to marry in the temple to a worthy companion
- a desire to have a family in order to enjoy the blessings of parenthood
- the ability to have children

After sacrament meeting, we all gathered at a local park for brunch.  We felt so blessed to have so many family members share this special day with us!  Thanks to all who came!

That is sooo neat about the dress and blanket! Nate was always so spritual...even as a 5th grader!
