While I was going through my pictures from February, I realized I have A LOT of pictures this month of Callie. I definitely didn't do a good job on diversifying my picture subjects! But with Aiden gone most of the day at school and Brennan either at preschool, playgroup, or playing with friends, most of the time it is just me and Callie hanging out. And with her infectious smile, I can't help but snap pictures of her.
First off, this weather in February has been a dream! After school, A & B practically live outside either playing basketball, jumping on the tramp, or running around with neighborhood friends.
Callie has entered the "me do it!" phase where she feeds herself. It makes for lots of messes but a very happy and proud girl. Instead of being too uptight about it, I have learned to just laugh it off. Like when she decided to feed herself a green smoothie with a spoon.
Brennan makes me laugh because he has been able to ride a two-wheeler for two years now, but he often wants to ride this beat-up trike around.
Nate's been playing in a basketball league with some friends and we love to go cheer him on. Aiden especially loves watching every second of it.
"Helping" daddy prepare his lesson for church:
With no school on Presidents day, we met up with my mom and Becca at the mall for some lunch and shopping and to let the kids play on the playground.
Brennan's smile to Callie says it all! Those two are the best of buddies.
One of the best things in February is Nate bought us a family pass to Thanksgiving Point! I very nonchalantly mentioned it would be nice to have one and that day he got us one! We have already used it lots - with the Tadjes, with the Brewers (twice), and by ourselves. The kids especially love the Curiosity Museum.
Callie copies everything the boys do these days (prayers, where and how they sit or stand, words they say, etc) and she especially wants to keep right up with them at the museum.
Aiden read to us at Moms and Muffins (and also read to Nate at Dads and Donuts) in honor of Dr. Suess' birthday. He is an awesome reader!
We ate dinner at the Kunzlers one night and the Kunzler girls helped Callie play dress-up. Needless to say she loved it! I am sure that stage is just around the corner.
I'll finish with a reminder for myself: Never let the kids push their own carts around at the grocery store. We were quite the site at Good Earth but at least they had fun running all over the store, right?!
