Bear Lake Tadje reunion

Ever since I've been in the Tadje family (which is almost 10 years) there has never been a time when ALL the Tadjes were together at the same time.  With 3 families living out of state and so many grandkids (40 to be exact), it makes getting together difficult.  But Jared and Trina made it possible for a reunion with everyone (except Chris of course because he's on a mission). So all 55 of us met up for a long weekend up at Bear Lake.  Even Nate's dad came despite not feeling 100% these days.  It was a wonderful, beautiful perfect weekend all together!

We stayed at a huge lodge that could comfortably fit us all.  The lodge had a Foosball table, pool table, hot tub, play set, toys, theater room, and a good sized yard to keep everyone entertained.  When we arrived Friday, we ate a yummy dinner, settled into our rooms, and then spent the evening hanging out there and swimming in the hot tub.
On Saturday, Nate and Aaron rode their bikes all around the lake (50 miles) and then we headed to the lake.  We went to the North Beach which was great because we could park our car right next to the beach and the water was not deep so I didn't worry about the kids.  It was a beautiful day out on the beach.  Our boys spent most of their time digging in the sand and building a big hole (which I later found out their named the toilet.....boys these days!)  Callie loved splashing in the shallow water with her cousins.  And Graham was either in his car seat or in the front pack...but usually in the shade so we could keep him out of the sun. I love that our kids have so many cousins to play with! I took lots of pictures but it was one of those days we never want to forget!
Love all his chub!  (he's 3 1/2 months old here)
Dave's health hasn't been good the last few months so it was pretty special having him on the beach with us...oxygen and all.
 All Tadje grandkids (minus Chris):
 All the adults:
It really was an amazing day at the lake and one we won't forget!

On Sunday, the kids and I went to church while Nate had an important family meeting with his parents and siblings.  Since his dad needs 24/7 care these days, the decision was made to move his parents to Colorado to live with Carolyn and Nate so Diane could quit work and they could get Dave some more assistance.  So they figured out details and planned their future. This reunion was especially sweet because of this huge change they are making...it is really sad to see them leave Utah but we know it's the best decision for them.  After the family meeting, we ate a yummy BBQ and hung out the rest of the night - visiting on the porch in perfect weather and then playing "Shamoo" later on...which was super hilarious with this group.
Swen helped teach Brennan some pointers on how to do a head stand and Brennan did pretty good figuring it out:
Graham had a big blow out (like usual) so we bathed him in the sink.  Any picture I can get of his chub I take :)
On Monday, we packed up early and stopped by the Utah State Creamery on our way home.  It was a great ending to a great trip!
Hopefully a Tadje reunion becomes a yearly tradition now!
