I love when Easter falls on General Conference weekend! It was an amazing weekend! For Conference, like always, we had a great time watching it on Saturday (looking for grandma when we could!) and being uplifted. We got to participate in a Solemn Assembly because it was President Nelson's first conference. We went to Pizza Pie Cafe after both sessions like usual and then when the men went to Priesthood, the kids and I went to my parent's house to prep for Easter dinner the next day.
Easter morning the kids got to look in their baskets to see what the Easter bunny brought and then we watched the first session of Conference all together.
The kids do Conference packets and play with Legos and waffle blocks while we listen to Conference. Having kids around while watching Conference is not always the easiest thing to do, so I'm looking forward to going back and reading each Conference talk again.
Aiden, Brennan, and I were lucky enough we got to go up to the Conference Center for the 2nd session on Saturday. It was a perfect day outside and an incredible experience to be part of that session. It was especially neat because President Nelson announced the new "ministering" one another program instead of visiting teaching and home teaching. And during the Priesthood session the night before, the elders quorum and High priest group were now combined. So many big changes at conference that it was not a conference we will forget!
After Conference we had a delicious dinner at my parent's house and my dad did another Easter egg hunt for the kids. And of course we did an egg toss like usual. It was a great weekend
