The Brewers slept over one night and they had a movie night downstairs while the adults stayed upstairs watching a football game and playing games. We had a blast and I'm sure it won't be the last time we do this.
No reason for this picture other than I love these two kiddos and spending my days with them! I'm not ready for when they both go to school full-time! I wish they'd stay little forever.
There were some beautiful weather days so we spent some time at the park. Snow in the mountains and still green in the valley. I love October weather!
I took Graham's pic on this climbing structure once and now he wants to take a picture in the same spot each time we go to the park. :)
Hee Haws! The kids went down one day to play with their friends in AF and afterwards my mom took us to Hee Haws. It's a favorite fall time tradition of ours so I'm glad we could still go (even though we don't live close anymore). It was a beautiful fall day. The kids especially loved the huge slides, the bunnies, the maze (where we almost got lost!) and the animal train.
The big news of the month - Graham was potty-trained!! And he caught on SO fast! He had just a couple accidents but that was it. He even stopped wetting the bed in the night. He seems so grown up now! But since potty-training, he also loves to run around in just in undies. We'll get dressed to go out anywhere but as soon as we're home he says "be naked" and wants to just be in his undies again. We need to cut that habit because it's sure exhausting dressing him multiple times a day!
Over fall break we met up with the Brewers in Salt Lake at Ensign Peak...and while we were there we ran into Erik & Amie's family too! So we all hiked up to Ensign Peak together. Afterwards the Brewers went with our family to the Planetarium, then we went and saw some Meet the Mormons films and then we went to City Creek food court afterwards. Salt Lake is a perfect meeting spot and there's always so much to do there.
Throughout the fall, we have been cleaning up our yard. The previous owners didn't do anything other than mowing the lawn so we had LOTS of weeding. We also got rid of a lot of dead, ugly bushes. And there was a thorny bush at the back of our house that we completely removed. In the Spring, we're going to do a lot more yard work and a yard make-over to get it where we want it but it already looks so much better!
The favorite bath spot is in the master bathroom. Lots of room for bubbles :)
Our new neighbors had a Halloween party and Nate and I went as Cleopatra and an Egyptian king. We had a great time at the party and loved getting to know our new neighbors more.
Aaron & Samantha gave us an old king sized bed so we put it in Brennan's room so we can use his room at the guest room now. Brennan looks tiny in a huge bed but it will be so nice to have when we have visitors. We went out to eat with Aaron & Samantha after they drove it up one night and it was fun to catch up with them.
I found these beautiful water-colored paintings of some military jets and I thought they were the perfect addition to Graham's room. They are so amazing and perfect for our airplane-obsessed boy.
On Halloween, I got to help with Aiden's class party. I did the mummy game with the kids. Graham and Callie were my helpers and they loved participating too.
HALLOWEEN!
The kids were SO excited to celebrate Halloween this year. Our kids went as BYU athletes yet again (they love those costumes and couldn't be convinced to be anything else) and Cinderella and a Tiger. The boys went out with some friends this year and came back with SO much candy! Grandma and Grandpa came up and we did a festive "spooky" dinner together and we loved having them up. Nate went around the neighborhood with the two little ones and everyone came home with SO much candy!
