We headed to St. George over Spring Break with the Brewers and Aaron & Samantha & kids. We stayed in a huge condo with all three families and had a blast! The kids all get along so well and so do the adults so it was a perfect way to spend spring break. We miss living on the same cul-de-sac all together (we have all since moved away) so it was especially fun to be all together again for a few days.
Saturday morning we all headed up to "The Crack" and Pioneer park to do some hiking and exploring. The scenery of the red rock and the bright blue skies was so refreshing after a cold and long winter! It was such a perfect morning exploring the beautiful outdoors and I ended up taking tons of pictures :)
Callie & Meg and Graham kept asking for me to take their picture...so of course I obliged! I wish my big boys still liked their picture taken so much :)
After hiking we hung out at the condo for a bit where the kids played the Wii and explored around outside behind the condos. Graham is obsessed with his cousin Lucy and she was nice enough to let him hold her :)
The condo complex had a fun pool so we swam that afternoon. It was only about 70 degrees and a little too cold for me swimming so I had fun in the hot tub for most of the time :) But the kids and Nate had a blast in both the pool and hot tub.
The kids all brought their scooters and Saturday night we had walked around Washington where we were staying and found a fun park.
On Sunday we went to sacrament meeting and then headed to the beautiful St. George temple to walk around and visit the Visitor Center. It was such a gorgeous spring day! We even did a Come Follow Me lesson out on the temple grounds all together. I love that we have good friends we can do that with!
After the temple we went back to the condo and had a relaxing rest of the day. Kids played games and adults visited and we ate lots of good food! Samantha, Ali, and I took turns being in charge of food for the day and we had LOTS of yummy food our whole time there.
On Monday we woke up and headed to the (newish) Thunder Junction park. It was our first time there and that park was so huge and amazing! We spent hours there and the kids could have stayed longer! It's all dinosaur themed and there are fun swings and slides and climbing toys and even a mini train ride around the park. I wish we had a park like that close to us!
We were trying to take a picture of the three of us...but Justin and Aaron were master photo-bombers :)
We went to visit the little duck pond by the park and Nate & Justin found some SPIN scooters and rented them for everyone to take a little spin around. They were a HUGE hit! After the park and scooters we headed back to the pool and finished off the night with some more good food.
Tuesday morning we A&S headed home and we went out to lunch and then another fun park with the Brewers. The park had more SPIN scooters so we rented a couple more to play on.
The Brewers headed home after lunch but Nate didn't want to go back to real life yet so he found a hotel in St George for us to stay one more night in. I wasn't going to argue with extending our trip! We did some more swimming and eating out and some outlet shopping and found yet another fun park to play at until it got dark.
The next morning we hiked up on top of Dixie rock and then headed to Brigham Young's winter home for a tour.
It really was an amazing spring break! We love St George and especially spending quality time together!
