Book Club Girls Trip!

The day after we got home from Florida, I headed on a girls trip to Colorado with my book club friends from South Weber and we had the best time! It was a little crazy getting home from a big 8 day trip to turn around and leave again but I'm glad I was able to go! I loved getting to see those friends again in person! We do a lot of Marco Polo but in person was so amazing We drove in Amy's van and being in a van for 8 hours with 5 other women is so fun! We had a million things to talk about and the time sped by.  Our first night we stayed in Breckenridge in a cute little Airbnb. Breck is the cutest town! We shopped at some of the most unique little shops and I loved the small town feel there.

One big things I learned on this trip is how to eat right on vacation! Wow we ate well! We ate at some of the yummiest and most unique restaurants - cute brunch places and swanky restaurants.  Nate and I aren't usually big foodies on trips b- we usually eat at pretty normal places. But these women know good food!

We hiked on this little trail in Breck that ends at a huge wooden troll in the forest. I'm not sure what it's there for, but it made for a fun photo op :)

We did a favorite thing exchange that first night too which was so fun. And then we went hot tubbing late at night in the cold.

The next day we shopped a little more before heading to Katie's house to stay for the rest of the weekend. I loved seeing her new home in Monument! They live on a ton of land and the views from her house are amazing. We set up beds in their basement and had a huge sleepover every night which was awesome. I felt like a kid again. We made dinner and dessert together and then Heather captured us before we could say no and gave us some sparkle...lots of sparkle! She put tons of makeup all over each of us and did our hair crazy.  I could not stop laughing when I looked in the mirror! Heather knows how to bring the party! Here's when I saw myself in the mirror...

The next morning we bundled up and went on a walk through the forest by her house. And then we got ready and headed to Manitou Springs for the afternoon. Manitou Springs is such a unique town! Like really unique. It's based around a spring of "healing" water and there are apothecaries and unqiue shops based around the water.

After Manitou Springs we went to the Garden of the Gods which was amazing! I can't believe we've never been there. The red rock formations are so cool and we loved walking around and exploring there. We spent a couple of hours there but I wish we had more time. I want to talk the family back sometime because the kids would love it too.

We took like 400 pictures between the 7 of us during the weekend but those are some of the favorites. These women - Amy, Mandy, Angie, Heather, Wendy, and Katie - are some of the most genuine and incredible women. We are all so different from each other and that's the beauty in our friendship. Our time in South Weber was so short but I am so happy I was able to meet these women in that short year. I am so glad I was able to go and I hope we do it again!
