Spring Break - Goblin Valley & The Wedge

For Spring Break we really wanted to go enjoy the outdoors and especially go on our first trip on the Mule so we headed down to Goblin Valley & The Wedge. On Thursday, we loaded up and drove down to Green River. We found a great deal on a hotel there. It's still a little too cold to camp in my opinion so we decided to stay at a hotel this time. Early the next morning, Graham complained that his tummy hurt so he climbed into bed with me and Nate. A couple minutes later he started throwing up! Not the best way to start a trip. He threw up a few times, waking all of us up at 6am, and then he seemed to feel better. We gave him a good bath and he said he felt fine again so we loaded up and headed to Goblin Valley. Thanks to Graham waking us up so early, we got to Goblin Valley early and beat the crowds. We had never been there before and it was amazing! The kids were in heaven climbing all around and playing hide and seek and flying Nate's new drone.
Not only was Graham sick all morning, but Aiden also kinked his neck really bad and couldn't straighten his head all of the way. To be honest, he complained a lot and made sure we knew he was hurting. It was difficult to listen to the whining so we eventually tuned him out and explored with the three younger kids while Aiden just slowly walked behind us with his head tilted...you can see his sideways head in all of the pictures. Luckily after a couple of days he got over it and was back to normal.
The three little kids loved climbing on the hoodoos and often wanted a picture taken when they were at the top...so we have a lot of pictures from Goblin Valley!
Here's Aiden and his kinked neck:
Graham LOVES Nate's new drone and he's amazing at flying it around! It was fun to see Goblin Valley from a bird's eye view.
After Goblin Valley, we headed to Little Wild Horse Canyon to hike. Graham seemed like he was over his tummy bug by the afternoon but when we got to the start of the It was such a cool slot canyon! It was pretty busy that day so the slots were a little tight at times but it was such a cool place! We went about a mile and a half in and a mile and a half back.
That evening we headed back to Green River and road out side by side on a cool trail through the desert. The kids took turns driving and we found a cool canyon that we flew the drone around in.
Nate flying the drone as I drove the Mule.
The next morning we headed to Crystal Geyser just outside of Green River but sadly the geyser never went off as we waited. We entertained ourselves with flying the drone and taking turns driving on the trail.
Then we drove out to the Wedge...which was in the middle on no where but was so cool! It's like a mini grand canyon (but not that mini). The overlook spot was so amazing but I was a little stressed seeing my kids so close to the edge! They kept tricking me that they would jump off.

We found some fun UTV trails at the Wedge and loved exploring! There was a beautiful canyon with some sand and water and some different obstacles that was super fun riding through. It was a quick trip but so fun (minus the throw up and kinked neck!) :)
