May was BUSY! We had sports in full swing, end of year activities, recitals, yard work, family things, and it felt even busier than December!
We started off the month celebrating Joe and Makayla's wedding. It was such a great night with family and we are so excited Joe found the perfect girl for him!
Mother's day was wonderful! I spent the day being spoiled - homemade breakfast and cards and gifts and time to rest after church. Then we spent time with my mom and grandma that afternoon and then we got together with the Tadjes to celebrate Diane that night. It was a great day!
Caitlin Baker and I went on a beautiful hike one morning up Bells Canyon. That hike never gets old! I love hiking in the summer and I love that I have friends that love it as much as me!
We planted our summer veggies in our new raised beds! Nate worked hard and put in a drip irrigation system and it was exciting to finally get to plant! I hope they grow well this summer!
Paige and Meg performed in Annie at the American Fork Amphitheater and they did an amazing job! Aiden and Callie and I loved getting to see them perform.
After Brennan's football game one Saturday, we headed out to 5 Mile Pass. Aiden didn't come with us (he wanted to hang out with a friend) so we invited Brennan's friend Crew along. We drove out to the "5 Fingers" as we call it and had a fun time playing around there.
Callie and Brennan had their first track meet. May was busy and we didn't always make it to practice but I'm glad they got to try out track and field events at one meet. The Lehi track program was a little chaotic so I'm not sure they'll do it again for a while but I'm glad they tried it out for a bit.
Graham graduated preschool! Not sure how my baby is headed to Kindergarten next year. They did the cutest program! They sang and shared facts about each kid. Graham was so adorable up there. He loves to learn and is definitely ready for Kindergarten in a few months!
Aiden and his good buddy Kason met up one day to realize they had the practically had the same outfit on!
Callie had her recital weekend! She is in cast D and performs Sat night so Callie and I decided to go see the Friday show and make it a date! We saw the performance, ate at Zupas, and then Callie came with me to Salt Lake to help me take care of Grandma Blackham. I've been spending the night at my grandmas a couple nights a month to help her because she needs assistance now to warm up dinner, take her on a walk, and get her in bed. It's been really special having that one on one time with her and I really enjoy it! This time Callie came with me and it was fun to have Callie there too. We went on a walk with my grandma and Callie kept doing cartwheels and front walk-overs and my grandma was really entertained :)
Brennan's flag football team went undefeated again and won their championship. Brennan scored 5 touchdowns in his last two games and played awesome! I'm so glad he's on this team and can have a great time playing flag football!
After he won the championship, we headed to Callie's recital. They performed Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters and she was a bird and a monkey in it and she did amazing! I love watching her dance!
Nate and I went with the Brewers to see Les Miserables at Hale Center Theater. It was incredible! The talent and production were amazing! I love that show and it was so great to see it live...and without a mask ;) It was such a great double date!
End of year awards...of course Callie got Cheery Cheerleader! She's so friendly and is kind to everyone!
We had a Tadje family dinner and then went to visit Grandpa Tadje's grave. It's been nearly a year and a half since his passing which is crazy!
For Memorial Day, we spent the day as a a family driving our Mule from Tibble Fork all the way to Heber, eating at Dairy Keen, visiting Cascade Springs, and then driving back to Tibble Fork. It was the best day! I love that canyon and the views and definitely uninterrupted family time! I love that we're making these memories!
